"I am proud to say that I have been teaching in the state of Georgia for 29 years. I have found a way to combine my two greatest passions: reading and teaching. I earned my Bachelor's degree at Georgia Southern University and my Master's degree from Georgia State University. I began my career in special education teaching in a wide variety of settings from self-contained classrooms to co-teaching classrooms. I began teaching 5th grade Language Arts at Chapman in 2008. I came to Booth from Chapman in 2013. I am a Microsoft Innovative Educator. I sponsor the ET Booth Reading Bowl Team at Booth. My husband and I live in Acworth, and we have two children. Our daughter is a Gamecock at the University of South Carolina and our son is currently working in the family business. Both of our children graduated from Etowah high school."
